CAP Membership

Dear Sir,

1.    Construction industry in Pakistan is the largest sector of Pak economy after agriculture. Total value of construction spending in Pakistan is about Rs. 20,000/- billion (10% of GDP). Constructors Association of Pakistan (CAP) licensed under Section-3 of the Trade Organizations Ordinance 2007, by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan and registered under Section-42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984 is the only association representing the constructors in Pakistan. CAP is engaged in representations regarding problems of constructors on several issues, including but not limited to:-

i)   Licensing problems with Pakistan Engineering Council including proposed 500%

    increase in license fee.

ii)    Adoption of PEC standard bidding documents by Federal / Provincial authorities.

iii)   Sales Tax on construction services.

iv)   Timely payment of constructors bills.

v)    Provision of Housing Finance.

vi)   Encouragement of construction services exports.

2.    We request all constructors (there are about 57,000 constructors licensed by PEC) to become member of Constructors Association of Pakistan (CAP) to raise their voice in policy making.
